With deep joy and heartfelt gratitude, we are excited to share that Phase One of the MHF Water Well Project in Kenya has been successfully completed.
After digging 70+ feet into the ground and reinforcing the well with brick lining, cement, and sand, the long-awaited moment finally came, the first drop of water appeared.
It was more than just water. It was celebration. It was relief. It was hope rising from the depths of the earth.
For the 45 households in Shihaka Village, that first drop represents shorter journeys, healthier families, stronger livestock, and renewed dignity. The excitement among the community was tangible as water began to collect, a visible sign that transformation has begun.
Attached are the photos from Phase One, capturing the digging process, the reinforcement work, and the joy of this milestone moment.
We are deeply grateful for your support in making this possible. Because of your generosity, what was once dry ground is now becoming a source of life.
As we move into the next stage, we have thoughtfully adjusted the sequence and will proceed with constructing the raised tank structure before purchasing and installing the solar pump. This ensures the system will operate logically and efficiently once completed.
Thank you for standing with us. The first drop has come, and with it, great hope.
With sincere appreciation,
Dickson MHF Kenya Administrator.
